The very first shiitake mushrooms we see each season are volunteers, pushing their way out from under the bark as springtime temperatures oscillate and gradually warm. These first mushrooms are gorgeous, decorated with cracking flower patterns and filled with rich flavors. And now, they’ve emerged! Our 2020 growing season is here at last!
This year, more than ever, we’re committed to bringing fresh, beautiful local food to our community here in Upstate New York. As we all work to navigate the threat of COVID-19, we hope that as farmers we can do our small part to help keep you fed and healthy. We’re adding fresh greens and other produce to our farm this year, and will continue to grow shiitake and other specialty mushrooms sustainably in our woods. We’ve created new ways for you to buy our produce directly and safely.
The global crisis has shown how precarious our food supply chain is. Buying local food directly from small farms can help make the whole system more resilient.
We are now accepting orders for delivery of shiitake mushrooms to your doorstep in Elmira, Horseheads, and Ithaca. You can check out the details and pricing on our Placing an Order page.
Thank you for your continuing support!
